Questions We Hear First
Three things growers ask before the walk
How soon can a first walk be scheduled?
Most first walks are arranged within one to two weeks of an initial message, depending on the season and travel distance from the Springville Utah field office. During the busiest bloom windows the schedule fills quickly, so an early note gives us more room to fit your blocks in.
What does a grower need to prepare?
Nothing more than a rough map of the blocks and the crops in scope. We bring the notebook, the hand lens, and the stakes. If there is a recent soil or tissue result on hand, we are glad to read it against the stages we observe on the walk.
Do you work outside Utah?
The practice is based in Springville, Utah, and we serve growers within a practical travel radius from that office. For a location further out, message us with the crops and block sizes and we will say honestly whether the walking schedule can be maintained.
AgCognition LLC opens its autumn advisory window for growers who want stage mapping in place before dormancy, so the next season begins with a map rather than a guess.
